Welcome
to another edition of the Residual Dream newsletter. If you are short on time, if you do
nothing else, subscribe to Brian Tracy's newsletter (see bottom of his
article in section 5.) Brian bombards me with Emails on a daily and
weekly basis... despite getting a hundred or so Emails a day I make a point of reading
all of Brian's. I hope you find a nugget or two in my mine.

2. Quotes of the month
"Leadership is a matter of having people
look at you and gain confidence in seeing how you react. If you're in
control, they're in control." Tom Landry
“You can’t win unless you learn how to
lose.” Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
"Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but also the parent of all the others."
Cicero
“Reflect on your present blessings, of which
every man has many; not on your past misfortunes, of which all men
have some.” Charles Dickens
“The big secret in life is that there is no
big secret. Whatever your goal, you can get there if you’re willing
to work.”
Oprah Winfrey
“Courage is being scared to death but saddling
up anyway.” John Wayne
“The biggest mistake we could ever make in our
lives is to think we work for anybody but ourselves.” Brian Tracy
“If you’re not a risk
taker, you should get the hell out of business.” Ray Kroc (McDonald’s founder)
3. Breeze update
Breeze is now my main source of income. The Law of Attraction is working brilliantly... some wonderful people
are joining the business. It's very
refreshing as all we do is 'look
for people who are looking' and then invite them to take the VIP
Tour. If you are looking for a serious additional income stream
make sure you get in touch with me... or just take the tour
from my website:
www.breezeworld.com/breeze/walltowall/.
If you looked at Breeze a while ago it is vastly improved and
it's
getting better all the time. This is the hottest tip I can give
you:

4. YouTube - I do
have friends, thank you very much
I was feeling great
this morning until I went to check my YouTube account. What a
cheek! There in
a prominent position was this sign:
OK, I've only been
tinkering with YouTube for the past few months and I don't even know
what a YouTube 'Friend' is. However, the experiment has been very
worthwhile. Over 1,000 people have seen my 'Fake It Till You Make It'
video, my general Google rankings have improved and I've received more
website traffic as a result. And I've even found some new friends, so
there. If you want to
get more business on the Internet, an online video presence is highly
recommended. It's like having your own TV station and is one of the fastest growth areas on the Net.
It's
so easy... all you need is a £20 webcam, some free video editing
software and you're away.

The Importance of Mental Fitness
by: Brian Tracy
The Hard Work of Selling
Selling is hard work. It is one of the
most difficult jobs in our economy. As a salesperson, you
face continual rejection, potential failure, persistent
disappointment, setbacks, obstacles and difficulties not
experienced by most people. Selling is not easy and it has
never been easy. It never will be easy. It will always be
varying degrees of difficult, from hard to very hard, to
very, very hard. And to be successful in selling you must be
tough, as well.
Your Attitude Makes the Difference
In selling, your attitude is probably
eighty percent of your success. Your attitude is the outward
expression of everything that you are, and everything that
you have become over the course of your lifetime. Your
attitude has the greatest single impact on the people that
you deal with. The development of a positive mental attitude
is the indispensable requirement for great success in your
field.
Learn to Bounce Back
Psychologists have defined the "hardy
personality" as the type of personality that is most suited
to the rigors of the modern business world. The hardy
personality, the personality you need to develop, is
resilient, optimistic, tough, strong, and capable of
bouncing back continually from temporary disappointments and
defeats.
Respond Constructively to Stress
A positive mental attitude is a
constructive response to stress. It is a solution-oriented,
objective approach to difficulties that you face every
single day. A positive mental attitude is expressed as a
general optimism toward life and the inevitable challenges
of earning a living. A positive mental attitude is the most
outwardly identifiable quality of a winning human being, and
it is the characteristic most closely identified with
success in selling of all kinds.
Practice Mental Fitness Every Day
To become and remain physically fit,
you must engage continuously in physical exercise. To become
mentally fit, to develop the kind of attitude that leads on
to success and happiness, you must engage in continuous
mental exercise. It is a never ending process. Just as you
do not achieve physical fitness and then discontinue
physical exercise, you can not achieve mental fitness
without working on it regularly, every day, like breathing
in and breathing out.
Action Exercises
Here are two things you can do
immediately to put these ideas into action:
First, decide in advance that, from now
on, you are going to respond in a positive and constructive
way to each and every stress situation in your life. Be
tough!
Second, practice mental fitness every
day by forcing yourself to remain cheerful and optimistic in
the face of difficulties and disappointments.
Remember, you can do it if you decide
to!

6. Video - it's all
about timing
Ever heard of 'The 3 Foot Rule' or the
'The Mirror Technique?' There are some times when you are better off
not even mentioning your business opportunity. Warning: this 2 minute
video even makes me cringe :0)

7. Technical nuggets
Did you know that
the Print Screen key on a PC keyboard copies the screen contents to
the clipboard? Just hit Print Screen (or Print Scrn) and then open
up your image editing software (or even MSWord) and 'paste' it in.
What fun!
Do you use MS Outlook? Sort your Inbox
in date order (click on the Received column) and then in Flag order.
Then if an Email comes in and you can't deal with it there and then,
but you don't want to forget about it, just click on the flag so a
red flag appears. All the flagged Emails will show at the top of
your Inbox until you clear the flag. A simple but effective
productivity tool.
8. Book of the month
You
have hopefully watched 'The Secret' movie. There's also a book which is
a great way of reinforcing the message. I find the audio book even
better - it's a 4 CD set and not only has all the material from the
movie but also has additional content. If you're in Europe, the best value I found on the Net was
www.thesecretdvdboutique.com... about £12 for the 4 CDs. They
are also very competitive for buying the movie on DVD.
(If you haven't yet seen 'The
Secret', here's the link:
www.thesecret.tv. You can see the first 20 minutes free of charge on
www.YouTube.com.)
